Whittier Book Fair Is Coming!
The Spring Book Fair is coming to Whittier on May 15th-18th!
What is the Scholastic Book Fair? The Book Fair is a fun and easy way for your whole family to discover new books together. Kids will have access to a wide variety of books, from the latest titles to old favorites, books for adults, teens and preschoolers and subjects from social justice to dinosaurs.
Who can come to the Book Fair? Anyone! All Whittier students will visit the sale with their classes and teachers, while parents can shop with their kids after school and during teacher conferences. Tell your block and encourage friends and family to shop!
Where is the Book Fair? For our Spring event we will be outside for easy browsing, weather permitting. We will be on the north end of the blacktop near the kickball area. In inclement weather, we will move the bookfair into the auditorium.
When is the Book Fair? Pop Up will be at the Fun Fair from 12:30pm-3:30pm.
May 15th and 16th: 10-4pm and May 17th: 9am - 6pm
Can I get involved? Absolutely! Please make some room on your schedule for such things as set up, cashier and break down. This is a great event to volunteer for as it's fun to engage with the kids and help them find their next favorite book!
How to prepare:
- Make sure you scholar has money on their eWallet and add funds. (You can ask family and friends to contribute funds to them as well!)
- Teachers will have a Classroom "Wishlist" and families can donate to a teacher eWallet so teachers can get fresh reads for their classrooms. Look out for a link to your teacher’s eWallet very soon!
