FUN! We’re getting ready to celebrate what an amazing year we’ve had! Plan to join us for face painting, splash ponds, and an obstacle course sponsored by Kid Strong.

FOOD! We will also have a taco truck and popcorn, cotton candy, and pizza for sale. Add to the spread by bringing a favorite easy-to-share side, dessert, or drink to share.

To wrap up or final PTO gathering, we celebrated Dominique Betancourt’s service to the PTO and Whittier’s students, families, and staff over the past three years.

You know her as the energetic face behind her coffee cart, a smiling volunteer at all the events, the emcee at PTO activities, and amazing mom and advocate for our Whittier community. Her service tenure includes navigating the crazy complications of Covid and working toward making the PTO more transparent, accessible, and purposeful.

Thank you, Dominique for the countless hours of service, both seen and unseen. You’re amazing, and your leadership will be greatly missed!

5th Grade Parents: Sneaker Ball Info

We look forward to seeing 5th graders at the Sneaker Ball for a night of dancing, games, and fun! Choose sneakers from different decades, like '80s high-tops, '90s chunky sneakers, or modern styles, adding a nostalgic twist to the sneaker ball.

4th Grade Mall - Bring a Buck

Whittier 4th Graders are running their annual Mall on Thursday, May 23rd featuring student-run businesses. All other grades will visit the mall and shop the items. All students can participate in the mall regardless of whether or not they have money.

However, 4th graders are hoping to raise real money for the Animal Care League of Oak Park. Please consider sending a few dollars to school on May 23rd in order to help the 4th graders reach their goal. Thank you!
